Cas Reynders (BE, 2000) is a designer whose philosophy is deeply rooted in the appreciation of materiality, artifacts, and traditional craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from the allure of lost archetypes as he delves into their historical usage, seeking to understand the reasons behind their unique characteristics. Ultimately translating these insights into new objects which could be characterized by purity, authenticity, and simplicity.

In the quest for authenticity, Cas focuses on locally sourced materials that are sincere and grounded in cultural heritage. Wood, ceramics, and metal are not just materials; they are a connection to roots, a way to embed designs with a sense of place and time. Driven by a passion for the traditional and a commitment to the future, Cas’ designs are a bridge between the past and the future. Each creation tells a layered story, not just of its form and function but also of the rich local culture from which it has drawn its inspiration.

Working exclusively with authentic and locally sourced materials, all pieces are handmade in Belgium. Each piece represents true craftsmanship, honoring traditional techniques. The emphasis on artisanal methods ensures that every work is not only unique but also deeply rooted in cultural heritage.
